Reversi

Trap opposing discs between your own to flip an entire line. A turn passes automatically when no move exists, and the player controlling more squares at the end wins.

Coral to move

01Bracket a line

Place a disc so one or more rival discs sit between it and another of yours. Every bracketed horizontal, vertical, and diagonal line flips.

02Choose a legal square

A move is legal only when it flips at least one opposing disc. If you have no legal square, your turn passes automatically.

03Control more squares

The game ends when neither side can move. The color occupying more squares wins.

About Reversi

Reversi is won by controlling access to stable squares, not by owning the most discs early. Place a disc that traps an opposing line, flip it, and build toward corners that cannot be taken back.

Tips for a better game

  • Corners are permanently stable, while squares beside an empty corner are often dangerous.
  • Limit your opponent's legal moves instead of maximizing every immediate flip.
